In our Azure Managed Grafana when we go to the Alerting tab we get the message:
Grafana legacy alerting is going away soon
You are using Grafana legacy alerting, it has been deprecated and will be removed in the next major version of Grafana.
We encourage you to upgrade to the new Grafana alerting experience.
When will the new Grafana Alerting experience be available?
PS: There's an accepted answer (from July 15) that says it should be available in August but it's September and there's no sign of the update. I'm asking again here to highlight that we're still stuck with Legacy & soon-to-be deprecated alerting.

Hi all respected fellows,
We are currently using the grafana version 8 integrated with Azure monitor as one of the Data sources and, intend to use Azure managed grafana version 9+ with it's unified alerting.
However, when we created the azure managed grafana v9+, added data source, notification contact points, and with creating dashboards in it, we also tried unified alerting.
But, while sending the alerts to the Notification contact points, we are only be able to view the metric name, resource value but not the name of the resource.
Without knowing the name, we can not be able to find out the alert is for what purpose.
Kindly help us here, if we are missing any steps.

You should start a new thread for this question. Possibly on the Grafana Support discussion rather than here with Microsoft as it sounds like more of a general Grafana issue.

We're expecting to enable unified alerting in the next 3-4 weeks. It'll be available on newly created Grafana instances first, and then updated on existing instances.
Thanks for the answer. We've got a fairly new instance and are waiting on the alert features so if there's any way to opt in to get the alerting first that would be super helpful. Thanks!
@Ye Gu it's been more than 4 weeks since your last post. Can you provide an update on the timeline? This is holding up progress on our end.
Unified alerting is available on new Grafana instances now. We're not automatically migrating existing instances to unified alerting due to the differences with classic alerts. If you'd like to keep your current instance, please send us at ad4g@microsoft.com and we'll see if we can convert it through a manual process on our side.
