    I was actually able to identify what the issue was. We had made some default path changes for data and log files in the past and the registry value for the same didnt get updated. Once I manually updated the path, the update went through successfully.

    I was able to get some help and looked into the setup Bootstrap folder for detailed logs. Our Server is a stand-alone server with no clustering nor AG setup. Here is the error we are running into:Condition "Is the datastore flag /Scenario/Patching/IsRunningInnerSetup set" did not pass as it returned false and true was expected.
