Your profile on Microsoft Q&A is the same on Microsoft Learn. As part of your Microsoft Learn profile, you can select what Microsoft Q&A to follow automatically on whether receiving mail notifications for certain content and when.
Prerequisites
You need to have a Microsoft Learn profile.
To receive email notifications from Q&A, you need to provide an email address for Microsoft Learn.

Automatically follow Q&A content
Choose what questions you would like to automatically follow on Microsoft Q&A.
Under the "Q&A follow preferences", select or unselect the options that best work for you.
Follow questions you've asked
Follow questions you've answered
Follow questions you've commented on
Follow questions with tags you're following
Select "Save".
Provide your email address
If you have not done so already, provide an email address to receive notifications from Microsoft Learn. After that, you can select your Microsoft Q&A mail preferences.
Scroll down to the “Manage email preferences” section.
Provide the email address where you would like to receive notifications as well as your country/region of residence.
Select “Save”.
Receive mail notifications from Q&A
Now that you have an email address on Microsoft Q&A, you can select your options to receive Q&A email notifications. By default, once you op-in to receive mail notifications from Microsoft Learn, you opt in to get notifications from Q&A. You can change that by following Stop email notifications from Q&A.
Here is an explanation of the options within the "Q&A email preferences" section.
Q&A email notifications
This option enables or disable Q&A email notifications for you. When you disable this option, Microsoft Q&A saves your other preferences, so if you enable mail notifications again, you start right at your last selections.If you disable this option, you will still receive some mails from Microsoft Q&A such as
You have been added or removed from a moderation group.
Your content has been reported for a moderator to review.
Your account has been suspended, or the suspension on your account has been lifted.
Mention email notifications
When you enable this option, you will get a mail whenever a user mentions you on Microsoft Q&A. A user mention is meant to bring your attention onto a question, such as letting you know they're answering your question, asking you to clarify your comment, etc.
Moderation email notifications
You only see this option if you're moderator on Microsoft Q&A. If you enable this option, you can get one mail each time content is reported to moderation on Q&A, so you can quickly act upon it.
You receive an email notification when someone follows you. You can get a notification right away, or have a daily digest of the last 10 people that follow you in the last day or the last 20 people that follow you the last week.
Questions
The options within the "Questions" subsection are based on questions you manually or automatically follow on Q&A. You can get a notification right away, or have a daily digest of the last 10 people that follow you in the last day or the last 20 people that follow you the last week. Available options are:
Receive email when a question is posted on a tag you follow
Receive email when a question you follow is edited
Receive email when questions you follow do not have any answers
Answers
The options within the "Answers" subsection are based on questions you manually or automatically follow on Q&A. You can get a notification right away, or have a daily digest of the last 10 people that follow you in the last day or the last 20 people that follow you the last week. Available options are:
Receive email when an answer is posted on a question you follow
Receive email when an answer is edited on a question you follow
Receive email when an answer is accepted on a question you follow
Comments
The option "Receive email when a comment is posted on a question you follow" within the "Comments" subsection applies to questions you manually or automatically follow on Q&A. You can get a notification right away, or have a daily digest of the last 10 people that follow you in the last day or the last 20 people that follow you the last week.
