Whidbey Beta 1

Boy, a ton of stuff is happening this week:

1) VS 2005 Beta 1 is released.  You can find it here: https://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2005/

2) We've announced the Visual Studio Express products.  You can get more information here: https://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/  You can expect some information on the  MSDN VS Extensibility Center on how the VS Express products relate to the VSIP program.

3) VSIP for VS 2005 Beta 1 will be posted soon.  Ken Hardy, the Lead PM for the VSIP program will be sending email to VSIP partners and we'll have information on the MSDN VS Extensibility Center on where to go to download VSIP for VS 2005 Beta 1.

Look here in the future for more information about VSIP for VS 2005 Beta 1...

I wish I knew if I could enter HTML here or not... I guess I'll have to try:

No you can't and I wish I had attempted that download before I uninstalled VS 2003. Obviously this is not on a critical machine but still a bit of a let-down.

I downloaded the VSIP SDK 2005 from

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=94c9970d-c247-4ded-a76d-f7b3d589e71d&displaylang=en

Is it the right build for beta 1?

GMilano: Yes, that download location is the correct one for VSIP 2005 Beta 1.

Johan: I just tried that link again and it works for me. Can you try it again?

    Thanks,
    Allen
