Performance Testing Microsoft .NET Web Applications by Microsoft Press is a great book to introduce you to the various aspects of performance testing as well as the tools of the trade. It's definitely a "must have" for those of you who work in an environment where uptime/performance is important (hopefully that's all of you =). You'll love the performance counter and load testing templates on the accompanying CD too!
