During the keynote of Kirill Tatarinov, Corporate VP, Windows Enterprise Management Division at Microsoft Corporation, he announced that Microsoft just bought a Canadian company called Assetmetrix.
Assetmetrix maintains a software library of more than 100,000 identified software titles and more than 200 reports targeted to asset and license managers.
The acquisition will enable us to deliver a more comprehensive asset and license management solution for customers of all sizes.
AssetMetrix technology will be integrated into Microsoft’s existing tools, such as System Center Configuration Management (SMS).
