David Cross on Microsoft Data Protection–Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit

His presentation covered a number of ideas that anyone interested in cloud security is going to want to know more about when it comes to trusting cloud providers, such as Microsoft Azure.

Some of these include how:

• Microsoft uses the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) to make sure that security is baked into development from the start
• Operational Security Assurance (OSA) guidelines drive secure operational processes
• Leading edge encryption is used throughout the platform to ensure privacy of customer data
