Over the past few weeks, here’s a sampling of news highlights of members of the BizSpark One program, identifying a small number of the best companies in BizSpark, which is now comprised of over 45,000 startups.

Week of October 23-29 and October 30 – November 5

  • § Digital Folio, a multi-channel, real-time shopping platform, raised $1.2 million in angel funding. Through a browser plug in, consumers can drag and drop products from retailers such as Amazon, BestBuy, Sears, Target or Walmart.com into the Digital Folio sidebar, and the best prices are displayed.
  • § LiquidSpace, the mobile application that helps anyone find a great space to work in real-time, was featured in the BizSpark Spotlight Series on the Microsoft News Center.
  • § Metaio, focused on augmented reality software solutions announced advancements in its technology providing gravity awareness, 3D object recognition, and techniques to understand and reconstruct the ‘real world’ using 3D reconstruction and occlusion of virtual objects.
  • § Yammer, focused on enterprise social networking, was recognized by IDC as an ‘Innovative Application Software Company Under $100 Million to Watch, 2011’. The report highlights small companies having an impact on the IT marketplace in three emerging areas: social business solutions, commerce 2.0 and socialytics.
