Windows Azure 仮想ネットワーク の機能追加 などと合わせて、Windows Azure SDK for Ruby が公開されました。
Windows Azure アプリケーションを開発するためのライブラリやツールなどをまとめた Windows Azure SDK (Software Development Kit: 開発キット) は、.NET / Java / Node.js / Python / PHP の各言語用、およびモバイルサービス向けが用意されており、今回 Ruby が加わりました。
Windows Azure SDK for Ruby (v0.5.0) は Windows / Mac / Linux に対応しており、ストレージ(ブロブ / テーブル / キュー) へのアクセスや サービスバス (キュー、トピックス) を利用するためのライブラリ、CLI (Command Line Interface) ツール や PowerShell ツール が含まれています。開発した Ruby Web アプリケーションは Windows Azure 仮想マシンでホストする Linux 環境に配置できます。
