  I've attended a number of MS sponsored events over the years, and the event in Farmington was especially well constructed and presented.   It doesn't always happen, but this program delivered as advertised ( followed closely the posted agenda and content, outlined in the pre-event postings). It was also good at staying focused on the central topic: ASP.NET.  While new features of latest versions of ASP.NET technologies were showcased; this was not sales pitch for MS tools (actually the most mentioned tool was the free offering from MS: Web Matrix), and the continuing use of "legacy" ASP and ASP.NET practices and applications was not discounted. Another thing I liked was a balance of explanation and demonstration.  Though much of the material was familiar to me, my guess is that the limited time available to introduce topics (such as the MVC pattern), was used effectively to get most attending up to speed - even if those aspects of ASP.NET development were new to them. In all, it was easy to justify taking the day to attend this event.  This is not an area central to my concerns; but I got enough useful information to better plan the web development plans I have for my company.   I'd recommend this program to those that are doing, or are considering doing some ASP.NET development - or those in other concerns that need to understand the process and potentials of this family of technologies.
