New Article: No Conferencing Policy is an Island

We’ve talked a lot here on the Lync Server PowerShell blog about scopes and policies, including per-user policies. Just to refresh your memory, a per-user policy is a policy that must be specifically assigned to a user or group. The user has whatever capabilities that policy specifies for them. The way this works is pretty straightforward – until you get to conferencing policies.

When it comes to conferencing in Lync Server 2010, there are per-user settings and per-organizer settings. The actions a user can take within a conference depend not only on their own user settings, but also on the organizer’s settings.
