Silverlight 2...Alive and Online!

I'm sure by now you've heard/read that Silverlight 2 was Released To Web (RTW).

This is a Microsoft technology I enjoy using as a consumer but have yet done any development with it.

I haven't really been following a lot of what's been happening between Silverlight 2 Beta 2 (SL2B2), Release Candidate 0 (RC0), and RTW other than the fact that between SL2B2 and RC0 there's a lot of code upgrading that needs to be done. I know a lot of developers decided to wait for RTW to come out before attempting to upgrade their solutions, just so they didn't have to upgrade twice.

There are a number of blog articles you should read if you plan to move forward with Silverlight 2, they helped me understand a lot about what's happening under the covers. The blogs belong to ScottGu, Scott Hanselman, Tim Heuer, and Shawn Wildermuth.

Once you get through the articles, then head on over the main Silverlight site the latest tutorials, community contributions, and more.

Excelsior!
