Countdown to MIX07 and gadgets

MIX is Microsoft’s premiere conference for web developers, designers and business professionals.  MIX07 will explore the next generation web technologies that help consumer-oriented, web-based businesses unlock new revenue opportunities and lower development costs. MIX is a forum for discussing ways to bring technologies such as ASP.NET AJAX, WPF/E, Media Center Edition, IE, and the Expression suite together in a way that enables developers and designers to deliver rich web experiences that drive business results. 

The keynotes during Mix07 will be delivered by Ray Ozzie, Chief Software Architect, Microsoft Corporation and Scott Guthrie, General Manager, Microsoft Corporation. More information on the sessions is also available on the Mix07 web site.

And the news section of the site learns us that every Mix07 attendee will receive a free copy of Windows Vista Ultimate!

On the mixtify section of the Mix07 web site these new cool gadgets are available: 

Countdown the days (hours, minutes and seconds!) to MIX07 which begins April 30th in Las Vegas at the Venetian. You can also stay up to date on MIX news with the latest headlines from visitmix.com via the RSS feed also included in the MIX gadget. You’ll be so in the loop on MIX, you won’t want to walk away from your computer to hit Vegas (NOT!).

  • Add to Live.com - Add the MIX07 Countdown web gadget to your Live.com homepage.

  

  • Add to Spaces - Do you have a Windows Live Space? Add the MIX07 Countdown gadget to your page. It is designed to fit perfectly in the narrower left and/or right hand columns of a Windows Live Space.

  • Add to Sidebar - If you are already running Windows Vista, you can add the MIX07 Countdown gadget to your Windows Sidebar. You'll know, with just a quick glance, how long you have until the opening day of MIX07!
    1. Click "Add to Sidebar" above to start the download
    2. Save to your local hard drive.
    3. After the file is downloaded, double-click the file to install onto the Sidebar.

I've added all 3 gadgets as a test and they look nice. They were developed by Donovan West, a Microsoft MVP, from LiveGadgets.net. He has some cool other gadgets posted too.

With the countdown I now perfectly know when I should start packing my bags for this year's Mix conference. I'm wondering if there are some other Belgians planning to attend. If so, let me know!
