MSDN Belux homepage gets update
I just noticed that the MSDN Belux & Luxemburg homepage has been redesigned. Wim did a great job on componentizing the different sections of the site.
First of all you will notice that our next major event is featured through a banner. Today this is our .NET Framework 3.0 Development MSDN Event.
Next we have different sections that can be expanded or collapsed, depeding their status. The latest must-read information or headlines are always shown, even when collapsed. We've thought of gadgetizing the homepage - just like the gadgets on live.com - but this would have led us (read Wim & Tom) too far. The MSDN Belux site is all about content!
Let's have a look at the content shown or accessible from the homepage. We now have the following RSS-enabled categories on the homepage:
- Local News - RSS
- Global Community News - RSS
- Events - RSS
- Webcast of the week - RSS
- Recent Downloads - RSS
- Popular Downloads - RSS
Additionally we have a couple of other components that are available for viewing on the web site:
- Most Valuable Professional in the spotlight
- Book of the Month
- MSDN Delivered
- Highlights
- Useful Links
These are not RSS-enabled. Looking at this content we think it wouldn't add much value to do so as most of it is static information.
If you prefer to have access to this content through e-mail, you can subscribe to the MSDN Belux Flash Newsletter.
We're continuously looking for new authors, articles, etc. So enjoy the content and let us know if we're missing something!
