Monitoring applications using Application Insights

Abstract:

Application Insights is an extensible Application Performance Management (APM) service for web developers on multiple platforms. It automatically detects performance anomalies and includes powerful analytics tools to help you diagnose issues. It is designed to help you continuously improve performance and usability. It works for apps on a wide variety of platforms including .NET, Node.js and J2EE, hosted on-premises or in the cloud.

Application Insights monitors request rates, response times, dependency rates , exceptions, pageviews, user and session counts. We will take you through all these exciting Application Insights features and will show you how you can configure it for your applications, so that you are ready to monitor your application performance in just few simple steps.

Speaker Bio:

Aruna Addanki is a Support Engineer for Azure Application Insights at Developer Tools, Microsoft India. She comes from a strong technical background and has worked on technologies ranging from Java, C++, MFC, .NET to analysis of crash dumps and has rich experience on applications hosted on cloud as well as on-prem. With her excellent technical skills, she helps customers identifying the issues in their applications quickly and provides recommendations for a robust code. Aruna is very passionate about learning new platforms and is always up to date with new technology trends.

Nehal Bhatt is a Support Engineer for Azure Application Insights at Developer Tools, Microsoft India. She is from ASP.NET background and has extensive experience in each stage of DevOps cycle. She, coming from a development background, likes to connect to other developers around the world and understand their issues. Nehal is very passionate about technology and problem solving. Her current role provides her an excellent opportunity to stay close to her passions while helping customers resolve their issues and gain the maximum value out of their engagement with Microsoft.
