Company Integration - Management Reporter 2012 Feature Highlight

One of the new features of Management Reporter 2012 will be functionality to make the install and setup experience much easier by enabling company integrations.

Rather than setting up companies manually, we will provide functionality to import your companies from your Microsoft Dynamics ERP. This means that instead of manually setting up companies, names, and connection information, you can reuse what has already been entered in your Dynamics ERP.

Below is a summary of what you will see:

Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics SL

You can import new companies with 1-click. You will connect to the system database and see a list of all companies in the system database.

Changes to the company name need to be synced with Management Reporter. If you would like to change the company name, then update it in Dynamics ERP and then re-import into Management Reporter.

For Dynamics GP users with Analytical Accounting, a second version of the company will be imported with AA appended to the company name. i.e. TWO and TWOAA

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 (existing)

You can import new companies with 1-click. You will see a list of all companies in the Dynamics AX database.

Changes to the company name need to be synced with Management Reporter. If you would like to change the company name, then update in Dynamics AX and then re-import into Management Reporter.

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 data mart and Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Upon setup of Management Reporter 2012, we will automatically create all companies in your Dynamics ERP.

Any changes to company name will be reflected in Management Reporter without user intervention. As new companies are created they are automatically added to Management Reporter.

Import of Companies in AX 2012 doesn't appear to be working.  Installation of Management Reporter 2012 is complete but isn't importing companies from AX 2012. Validation of AX instance occurred during installation, so we aren't sure why this happened?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Import of the Dynamics GP 2010 companies doesn't work either.. both MR services are working fine, but the import is just failing with a non-sense message about credentials, which are clearly correct (using SA from SQL server). Validation occurred too and companies are listed, but cannot import them.
