Management Reporter 2012 CU13 Re-Release has been posted for download

A critical issue was found in CU13 that could impact any customer setting up a new Management Reporter installation and using SQL authentication. The original installation files have been removed from CustomerSource and a new set of installation files have been posted. The re-release also contains the hotfix for the web viewer scroll bar missing.

  • Delete any downloads containing the 2.12.13001.13 build
  • Download the new CU13 build 2.12.13002.1. This can be used as an upgrade from the initial CU13 release, or as the CU13 full install including the fix for this issue. Upgrades will require going through the Configuration Console to perform a quick update
  • If you choose to not apply the new install, you will receive the fix with the Management Reporter CU14 upgrade
  • Any additional bug fixes released as a hotfix will rely on the new 2.12.13002.1 Re-release build as a prerequisite for the hotfix
  • The Brazil SPED ECF Hotfix has been re-based off of the MR CU13 Re-release, and is available to download now for any customers who haven't yet applied it
  • Contact the support team if you have any questions or need assistance with the update.

Both the EN-US and localized versions are available to download now.

Ryan, Thanks for releasing this corrected version.  But, please acknowledge that Management Reporter QA is not good and needs to be overhauled.  Admitting you have a problem is the first step in the process of fixing it.

I wonder if anyone else has run into this? And in the hope of saving someone else some time if the same thing happens to them, I have included my workaround. During a fresh install of MR, using this CU13 re-release download, integrated with a new install of AX 2012 R3 CU9, on two separate instances, while the install goes fine, during integration, I get the (shortened) error below (a SQL deadlock) in the Service log in the Configuration Console (the same error is visible in the Windows Application Event Log as well). The MR services continue to run, though at this point it is hard to tell if the integration is really working anyway, since the AX instances don't have any data yet. To avoid this error, I ended up installing the MR bits that come on the AX 2012 R3 media, with CU9 slipstreamed. The install and initial integration completed without any errors. I then upgraded the MR server (and ran the update tasks shown in the Configuration Console ) and client with CU13. This completed without any errors. Finally, and somewhat un-relatedly, I updated the server with the recently released performance hotfix. Again there were no apparent issues. I suppose I won't know for sure if it's working properly until there is some data, but I am at least more confident now, that the install will be healthy, after the above somewhat circuitous workaround. I would welcome any thoughts or comments.
