Looks like you've addressed some of the issues with previous version which is great. From the video it showed the ability to connect a single CRM instance to multiple SL companies. Is that functionality available for NAV and AX also?Anonymous

@Derek - actually in the video I showed the SL adapter connecting to multiple SL services, which is something that the SL adapter requires. The integration for all of the Microsoft Dynamics ERPs and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is by default setup up to be a single CRM org to a single ERP company. That being said, you can use our filtering mechanism to integrate a single CRM org to multiple ERP companies by creating multiple integrations and create the proper filters on each map - however there are a large number of issues that you will need to plan for when doing this type of integration. We are planning on publishing a best practices document about this type of integration at some point in the future.Anonymous

Thanks for your quick reply. I think most organisations we implement NAV and AX for will have multiple companies. Is there a plan in a future version to allow for this without the large number of issues? Without supporting this we can't include the connector in our kitbag for integration and will continue to use third party products.Anonymous

@Derak - the issues are not with Connector but due to the fact that Microsoft Dyanmics ERPs and Microsoft Dynamics CRM have very different data containment models as well as very different customization models. So there is a certain degree of up front planning that must occur before starting an integration that will cross those boundries in ways that were not accounted for when the two systems were designed. If you are interested in getting a bit more detail, you can use the "email blog author" feature in the right hand column to contact me directly.Anonymous

Hi, Is it possible to use the same Connector for different companies/databases? Or must the different Integrations be for the same database. I have set up the CRM/NAV connector successfully for one customer. Now i have a new one, and im wondering whether i have to install his Connector on a new server, or if I can use the same Connector and just add a new integration and change adapter settings..? Thanks in advance!Anonymous

@Steven - you'll want to update the "Deafult adapter settings" first. This can be done by clicking on the "ADapter Settings" button in the Connector Client's menu. Then you can create the new integration using the same install of Conenctor as you have outlined.Anonymous

Can someone post a link, or explain how you download the Connector v2 from PartnerSource? I think I may have found the downloads for v1 of the Connector, but can't seem to find them for v2.Anonymous

@Tom - PartnerSource always has the latest bits on it. So if you are able to download the Connector from PartnerSource, then you are getting the latest version. In this case, the current latest version is 2.0.620.1, which you can verify after installation by right clicking on the Home node in Connector and selecting Version Information from the context menu.
