Make teaching and learning more fun with Windows 10

By: Editorial Team

Teachers are busy people, constantly juggling classes, marking and lesson preparation. Two recent Microsoft education blogs have pinpointed some Windows 10 features and tips that can save teachers time and make learning more fun for students.

For example, did you know that you can add an interactive whiteboard or second screen simply by pressing the Windows key + P? And, to keep lessons interactive, you can easily write or draw on your web browser just as you would have annotated on overheads before.

Staying organised has also never been easier. A quick swipe from the right of your screen will bring up the Action Centre, giving you a cumulative view of your emails, Twitter alerts and security updates. Add another desktop by pressing the Windows key + Ctrl + D to separate different classes, or take a screenshot and send it directly to OneNote by pressing the Windows key + Shift + S for quick note taking and creating lesson plans with multimedia components.

This is just a taste of the many useful tips and tricks for using Windows 10 in the classroom. Click here and here to read the blog posts and optimise your teaching experience.
