Tafiti here I come

You may think that this is a typo, that I meant Tahiti, but nope I meant Tafiti. Tafiti is a search visualization tool that has the Windows Live Search integrated. Tafiti was developed by SharpLogic for Microsoft. It uses Silverlight technology. There is also a Silverlight web cast that demonstrate all the features in the Tafiti.

Instead of explaining what Tahiti does, which you could easily just view the video above, I'm going to talk about what I think about this tool. First of all, this is a cool piece of technology that leverages all of Microsoft latest technology, such as Silverlight, integration with Windows Live Search, and Live Messenger. Because it is built using Silverlight technology, it is a very rich interactive application on the web browser. You could also skin the interface easily. I've seen two different UI skins so far, a Halo theme one which is accessible here and the original Tafiti which is available here.

 

I like the sharing of search results with others. Often in my work, my partners have questions, which could easily be answered by sharing my Live Search results with them, now I could!
