iMo 7” USB Sub-Monitor Unboxing

I’m a big fan of multi-monitor as a way of getting a broader view of all the applications I’m working with at any given time. I have 4 monitors on my primary desktop machine, so when I’m on the road it can be difficult to deal with the limitation of a single laptop monitor.

Enter the iMo 7” USB sub-monitor. I recently picked up a couple of these at a great price during a woot-off for use with my laptop(s) while I’m on the road. Since I know many of my readers are gadget fans, I figured I’d do a quick unboxing video, to show how the monitor works, and what you might use it for. The video is below…enjoy!

I have the 710S, which is the folding portable one. My only issue with it is that it doesn't work with Windwos 2008 or 2008 R2, which I have on my laptop so I can do SharePoint 2010 dev. Most Win 7 64-bit drivers seem to work for me, so it's a little annoying. Works great on my other Win 7 laptop, though.

@ambrose No, haven't stuck a twiter client on it yet. I've got 3 different accounts I'm monitoring in sobees, so it would be a bit tough to read on the small display. But I used it today at the MSDN Roadshow to keep my powerpoint notes and demo notes on, and it worked great for that.
