TechNet Radio: Virtualization and Cloud Experts Café – System Center 2012 SP1 Enhancements & Windows Azure Services for Windows Server

In this latest episode of TechNet Radio: Virtualization and Cloud Experts Café, I chat with John Allwright, Sr. Product Marketing Manager with the Server Infrastructure team to discuss the latest enhancements made to System Center 2012 SP1 and the new capabilities found within Windows Azure Services for Windows Server. I’m sure by now, most folks have heard about Windows Azure and the benefits it provides an organization. In recent IT Camps, we have also been talking about Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with Windows Azure Virtual Machines. One of the questions I have received at these events is: “Can I run that Azure ‘stuff’ in my own datacenter?”. The answer with Windows Azure Services for Windows Server and System Center 2012 SP1 is “YES!”. Of course there are some caveats, but this new capability allows you to “replicate” some of the capabilities that we offer in Windows Azure into your own datacenter. John talks about that and does a quick demo of this capability in this interview.
