never heard of it before . it is a type of sourcing like Outsourcing.

JetBlue Airlines have 250 agents who process airline booking through phone. all of them (100%) are working from home. as the CEO (David Nelleman) says , this increased the productivity by 30%.

all the agents are hosewives only. the CEO beleived that if hosewives have wages from home , this will help and serve the whole society to grow, housewives will have time to cook, write novels, and help their children while working.

now , more than 23.5 million Americans are working from home(about 16% of US labor force).

 

note : HomeSourcing as Thomas Friedman says : it is not competing with outsourcing it is just 2 sides of the same coin - Sourcing.
