Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers on their fifth Super Bowl victory. Special congratulations to Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers quarterback who wears the number 7. While we obviously wished things had turned out differently, we’re glad to see that 7 is a lucky number this year.
We’re proud of the Seattle Seahawks and are grateful for the great season they gave us all. We already look forward to next season.
Back to finishing up IE7 and making it great.

What's super about this particular bowl?

Obviously, the 'super' part comes from the huge amount of syllables in each players surname.

Or perhaps the bowl holds a super amount of breakfast cereal and an entire cow of milk...Anonymous

Please keep such comments to other blogs. Given the amount of people subscribed to your RSS feed, this is probably a lot of "noise" that needn't be there.Anonymous

No thanks, NFL officials :'(Anonymous

Sorry, John, but this is the IE Team's blog. As we have said before, we are going to occasionally post things of general interest. Last year, it was baseball. This year, football.
The "noise" is part of the blog.
Thanks.

i would agree with the sentiment that the "ie blog" should be about ie, especially since it's not a one-person blog and extra especially since it's the official blog for ie. such personal opinions seem out of place to me here. what if some of the ie staff preferred the other team? one person's opinion of a sport, even if echoed by the entire department, belongs on a personal blog in my opinion.

Some geeks like sports. Some of us have actually played a few. Lighten up a bit. Don't blame the officials. 2 missed field goals and a poor passing performance by Hasselbeck sealed the Hawks fateAnonymous
