David Harley

David Harley CISSP has worked in computing since 1986, and first fell
semi-accidentally into security and antivirus research in 1989. His
background includes systems, applications and network support and
administration, and includes PCs, Macs, Unix and VMS. He holds
qualifications in security auditing, ITIL service management, and medical
informatics. Until 2006 he managed the UK National Health Service's Threat
Assessment Centre, specializing in the management of malware and email
security. He now provides  authoring/editing services to the security
industry through his Small Blue-Green World consultancy service, and is the CDO of AVIEN

David has written or contributed to over a dozen books
including "Viruses Revealed" (Osborne) and the AVIEN Malware Defense Guide
for the Enterprise
(Syngress), and more articles, white papers and conference papers than he cares to remember.
