TechReady 5, Sparks fly in Seattle!
So I have been on the road for quite a while and hopefully will now finally get some time to start getting this blog going. This week I am in Seattle at the TechReady 5 conference. It is similar to TechEd but for Microsoft Employees only so it is very focused on deep technical presentations and labs. I have attended some amazing sessions this week including some great info by Joel Oleson on Governance planning for MOSS/WSS, Eray Chou did a great presentation on WSSv3 templates and the Fab 40 Application Templates he and his team created, and too many more to list here. Basically this week has been a blast!
I have spent a good deal of time in our hands on labs working with WPF and Silverlight and I have to say I am blown away! In my prior life before MS, I was a macromedia trained flash developer/designer and since coming onboard here at Microsoft I have had no outlet for those skills. Now I can leverage my .Net development experience with my background in design! I love it! Expect to see amazing things coming soon!
As soon as I am back home and can organize my thoughts I will start posting a bit more often. Last week I was in Charlotte NC, this week is Seattle, next week should be home! I will have more info next week.
See you then...
