Tip: Download the latest TFS installation and administration guides

The TFS distribution disc includes 2 invaluable files called TFSAdmin.chm and TFSInstall.chm.  The first is the Administration Guide and can help you in planning your TFS deployment.  The second is an Installation Guide that contains walkthroughs for installing TFS in the various supported deployment configurations.

Both of these guides have been updated since version 1.0 shipped in March and are available to download fro MSDN:

Note:  If you're up to date on your security patches, you probably have security update 896358 installed.  If this patch is installed, then content from the 2 guides listed above will be blocked until you enable it.  Simply right-click on the files, choose "properties", and then on the General tab you'll see a note at the bottom about the content being from another computer and being blocked.  Just click "allow" and then close the properties dialog box with the OK button.  When you double-click on the guides, you should now be able to see their content.  For more information on this patch and unblock process, see KB article 902225.
