I had a customer today ask me about the support lifecycle for Windows Mobile 5.0.
Essentially we support our mobile platforms for 5 years in mainstream support and then an additional 5 years in Extended support.
So for Windows Mobile 5.0 we provide mainstream support till 12/10/2010 and extended till 12/10/2015
Obviously the support has to be provided by the OEM not just Microsoft so you also need to ask them for how long they will support a particular version of Windows Mobile on their devices.
