Practical Azure #8: SQL Data Sync
Cabaret not withstanding, it’s data that makes the world go ‘round, and one of the incredibly awesome capabilities you have when using SQL Server and SQL Database in Windows Azure, is the ability to move rather seamlessly between on-premises assets and the cloud. In previous episodes, I covered the concepts of SQL Database and SQL Database Federations, and now in my latest segment of Practical Azure (on MSDN DevRadio), I delve into how to synchronize that data across multiple on-premises and cloud hosted databases.
