Team Explorer folder names in Dec Team System CTP

Bill Mattox asked about the Team Explorer folder names in a recent newsgroup post.

I did notice there appears to be significant changes. What was formerly Work Items, Reports, and Documents in the Refresh is now Currituck, Documents, Hatteras, Public Builds, and Reports.

I'm trying to harmonize the two... for example, Work Items was central in the refresh... how is it related to the CTP?

Good question. We didn’t have a chance to clean this up before making the CTP drop. Here are the mappings:

    • Currituck – Work Item Tracking
    • Hatteras – Version Control
    • Public Builds – this is the new build server component of Team Foundation
    • Documents & Reports – self explanatory
