[FIM2010] WSS日本語版だとFIM Portal Setup 前にWSS英語言語パックを入れる必要がある(Setup Failure) v1.1

みなさんごきげんよう。ういこです。木の芽時のなんだか胸騒ぎの放課後な春、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。
さて、今日は緊急特集 [WSS 3.0 日本語版を入れると、ポータルセットアップ前に WSS の Language Pack で英語入れとかないと Forefront Identity Manager 2010 のポータルがインストール出来ないわよ！ ] をお送りします。
というか、私がはまったんですが。

【どんなハマり方をしたのか？】
"Identity Manager Service and Portal" から、"Install Service and Portal" を選択して、セットアップをたたいたら "Deploying solution packs" のところで突然 Rollback しちゃって FIM ポータルがインストールできません。
そこで、以下のように Windows Installer の詳細ログを取って中身を見てみたら、エラーが出て、ロールバックしてしまっていました…。

-- Windows Installer のログの取り方。
まず、Windows Installer がどういう僕たちの失敗をしていたかを確認するためにログを取りながら導入をしてみます。以下は、D ドライブ（DVD ドライブ）の Service and Portal ディレクトリ配下にある Service and Portal.msi のセットアップの生きざまを克明に c:\temp 配下に FIMInstall.log というファイルを作り、そこにログってやるという例です。

※ 上記ログ内部を、Ctrl + F キーで Microsoft.IdentityManagement.SolutionPackUtility.exe で検索を掛ければこの個所が見つかるです。

【対処方法】
日本語版 Windows Sharepoint Service (WSS) をインストールすると、どうもロケールとして日本語 1041 がインストールされるものの、他のロケールは含まれないようです。標準のロケール（日本語）に、英語ロケールのページを追加して上げる必要があります。Microsoft.IdentityManagement.SolutionPackUtility.exe が、SharePoint にポータルを追加する処理を行う際に、英語リソースを参照する設定になっているらしく、標準の状態では英語リソースがないためにセットアップが失敗します。
対処方法として、Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 の言語パック「英語版」をインストールしてから再度 Service and Portal.msi のセットアップをしてあげてください。

1. 上記のサイトを表示し、[言語の変更] (あるいは “Change Language”) で "英語" を選択し、Go ボタンを押します。
2. Download ボタンをクリックし、適当なフォルダにダウンロードします。
3. ダウンロードしたファイルをダブルクリックします。
4. 表示されるダイアログを確認し、セットアップを行います。

※ WSS 3.0 Language Pack 導入についての注意点があります。こちらのページを参照してからセットアップしてください。

SharePointLanguagePack.msi をセットアップするとこんな感じ。日本語で大丈夫か？！と思いますが

なんか終わった。妙に真ん中がスカスカしたダイアログが気になりますが、問題ないです。

このあと Service and Portal.msi をセットアップをすると、ちゃんとうまくいきます。 正常時と失敗時のログの問題の個所を見比べるとこんな感じです。

このあと、https://FIMポータルセットアップ時に指定した WSS の名前/identitymanagement/default.aspx にアクセスしてみましょう。えらい時間かかって微妙に不安になっても我慢してください。(SSL の場合はプロトコルを https にして、https://FIMポータルセットアップ時に指定した WSS の名前/identitymanagement/default.aspx にアクセスしてくださいね。)

例 : uikou-fim1 にインストールした場合。(非 SSL で構成しちゃったです…)

下はまだ、FIM のランゲージパックを入れてないので英語の状態です。

いやぁ、ほんと悩みました。
英語版の OS + 英語版の WSS ならば判らなかったんだろうなぁ…と思います。ていうか、FIM ではじめて WSS に触る人も少なくないと思いますが、使ったこと無い人ならば、判んないよ！絶対はまるよ！と思いましたので、書かせて頂きました…。

※ (Version 1.1 追記) ちなみに、IdM実験室の管理人、そして日本初の Identity Lifecycle Manager の MVP の ”ふぁらお”さんからもご指摘がありましたが、こちらは実はこのTechnet の記載の個所に起因します。しかし、私はセットアップが失敗する現象からここには思い至らず…。まあ、必要システム要件はちゃんと満たしてからインストールしよう！ ということなんですが。すみません…はまっちゃって恥ずかしいです。
