Just a quick update: Recently we got our blog stats for our first month on the net as the Official MacBU Team blog. The results? Of the 3,500 blogs on MSDN, Mac Mojo came in as the 16th most viewed blog! Not bad for a beginning Mac blog at Microsoft.

So, thank you for making Mac Mojo so popular!

I hope we can make this interesting, informative and fun. As always, if there’s something you’d like me or anyone else to post on, please let us know in the comments and we'll do our best to respond. In the end, this blog is all about you, our customers.

    Yeah, I have some questions. Why does Office 12 for Mac have to be shipped 8 months after Office 2007 for Windows? If it's just a matter of ensuring compatibility between file formats, why can't you just issue a patch after to fix any issues? Why don't you release a public beta of Office 12 for Mac so that your customers can help you track down any bugs in the code, and provide feedback so that ultimately you produce the best software. Also, why should we belive you'll listen to your Mac customers when they have been demanding AV support in Mac Messenger since the begining of dawn, but always you come you come up with some marketing excuse to justify an inferior product. Apple is now developing an Excel compatible spreadsheet application in it's iWork 2007 product. This will further strengthen the appeal of iWork in the home and education markets causing further loss of sales to MacBU. Does this matter to you? How many licences of Office 2004 have you sold since the announcement of transition to Intel, and how does this compare to sales of iWork? When I go to my 'About Word' it displays Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac Version 11.3 (060914) and copyright is shown as 1983-2004 Microsoft Corporation. But Mac Version 11.3 was released in 2006. Is this to rub in the noses of Mac users that we're using ancient and inferior technology?

    I would say: thanks a lot for the blog. It might sound a bit cheesy but still... I believe it is a great resource and a wonderful way for us, Mac users, to know what's going on and understand how the apps are built. Thanks again :-)

    If you are the 16th most popular blog out of all the MSDN blogs, then I think that it would be fair for Microsoft to provide you with the 16th biggest programming budget in the company! Let's make Office for Mac the biggest Microsoft product! ;-) sjt
