MED-V 2.0 is now available!

newToday we announced the general availability of MDOP 2011, which includes among other things the long awaited MED-V 2.0!  So what’s new in this release?  Well, lots really.  According to Gavriella Schuster over on the Windows for your Business blog:

With MED-V 2.0, we’ve made it even easier to use and simple to deploy by integrating with existing management systems such as System Center Configuration Manager or third party deployment and management tools. MED-V 2.0 is a great way to resolve any legacy application issues and to get up and running on Windows 7 quickly.

How did we do this you ask?  Well, for one we made changes that let you allow your users to save their Windows passwords for seamless sign-on to their MED-V workspace.  We also included support for USB devices and Smartcard readers.  But don’t take my word for it, check out all the details over on the MDOP blog here.
