Winners of the 2014 Imagine Cup World Finals

It's been an incredible week here at the 2014 Imagine Cup World Finals, and it all culminated in the thrilling World Championships which we livestreamed right here on our website. We saw nine tremendously talented teams of students take the stage and in the end, it came down to the three top teams: one each from Games, Innovation, and World Citizenship. Those three top teams were:

World Citizenship:  Eyenaemia, Australia

Games:  Brainy Studio, Russia

Innovation:  Estimeet, New Zealand

These teams then faced our incredible panel of judges:

  • Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft
  • Hadi Partovi, founder of Code.org
  • Erik Martin, GM Reddit

After three rounds of tough questions, the judges chose the overall winner of the 2014 Imagine Cup. Congratulations to Eyenaemia of Australia from the World Citizenship Competition, our 2014 Imagine Cup champion who will now get a private meeting with Bill Gates to share their incredible project!

But of course, that one team does not tell the tale. We honored nine great teams at the World Championships, all of whom had terrific projects. You can learn all about them on our new 2014 World Finals winners page!

If you've been reading my blogs and watching our Imagine Cup TV episodes all week, you'll have seen a great glimpse into this incredible time. Student after student have come up to me to say what a profound impact this has had on their lives.

I want all of you to know that this is a road which goes both ways. Everyone at Microsoft who has encountered you, tried your projects, heard your stories, has also come away changed. At these moments the present and the future verge into one shining whole and we can see, for a little while, the shape of the world to come.

It looks like you, you brilliant young people. Thank you for being your best and truest selves this week, and my very best wishes to everything you do.

Happy competing for new season! No one can participate from Iran. Maybe their people are outlaws in imaginations of ImagineCup.Recently one of Iranian honored with the Fields Medal in mathematics but they called it American originally from Iran. They try to ignore name of Iran!
