Another week another injury... Not such a fun week this week with the following:
- Hill Session - 30mins (ouch)
- Threshold Run - 2 x 10mins with 2 mins recovery (sadly, we couldn't manage 10mins flat out)
- Easy Run - 30mins (Oops - I thought it was 40mins and I went a bit fast)
- Long Run - 60mins off-road (We decided, for some reason, to do 9.5miles instead... Don't ask me...)
And in the process of all that I've pulled another muscle in my chest and been ordered to stop training for a week. I've also been given some very scary looking pain-killers to take in the meantime. Last night the pain was so bad I couldn't lie down when it came time to go to bed. Instead I had to stay up and watch third-rate movies all night with the volume turned off so as not to wake Gemma. If that wasn't bad enough it was interjected with a sharp stabbing pain in my chest every time I so much as breathed. Fortunately, things are loosening up a bit tonight (or the pain-killers are working).
I've been using a couple of sites to plot routes - www.walkjogrun.co.uk and www.mapmyrun.com. You can see our long runs round Windsor Great Park on mapmyrun here. Both sites are good though mapmyrun has a couple of features that walkjogrun doesn't have such as elevation charts and auto-panning. Sadly, both are based on Google Maps - where are the running sites based on Virtual Earth?
