Eric Gunnerson has a great post on ScrumBut.  As a ScrumMaster (certified, certifiable, whatever) I agree with what he says completely.  I've said it before when talking about Brad's ScrummerFall post, but Eric sums it up very well.  ScrumBut is NOT Scrum.  12 week iterations are not short and completely miss the point.  And teams that do Scrum without even reading the books and literature (and by not brining in a coach for a while) are just hurting themselves.
