A new Era for Partnering in the Cloud!

As I’ve traveled across Canada, and spent time with you, our technology partners, I continue to be amazed, and inspired by the stories of transformation – how you are planning to capitalize on the new opportunities in front of us; how your business has already evolved to leverage the potential created by the Cloud, and the incredible stories of innovation and customer impact – but as he market and analysts tells us all, there is much more we can do, together. There remains profound opportunity in Canada.

Together, we have the potential to be the drivers, and enablers of Canada’s future – and to inspire and fuel customers to leverage technology in new, and amazing ways to drive innovation, growth and productivity.

Today, Microsoft Canada hosted a press conference in Toronto, in which Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner announced Microsoft Corporation’s plans to deliver locally hosted Microsoft Cloud servicesMicrosoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online – from Canada!

Having these services available to you, from datacenters located in Canada, unlocks incredible new opportunities for each of us – and now, more than ever, is the time to ensure you are equipped to capitalize on the potential.

As we get to work building out the services – and we will share more details in the months ahead – I encourage each of you, your teams, and your organizations, to begin building, and/or revisiting your plans to accelerate your Cloud business.

Today’s announcement is the beginning of the journey to deliver Microsoft Cloud services to Canadians, from Canada—but is perhaps the most important for you, technology partners. Today marks the moment in which we can rally together to begin building plans, with and for you, and for our shared customers, to determine how we all can benefit from the innovation, the potential and the economics in the Cloud.

We are incredibly excited by what we shared today, and hope you are too, and we look forward to the potential the future has in store. We’ll continue to share details as they are available – stay connected to our Canadian Partner Newsboard for the latest and greatest.

If you’ve not yet made the transition to the Cloud, or are still trying to determine where and how to get started, or are looking for additional inspiration, be sure to leverage Cloud SureStep to help you on your way!

On behalf of the extended Microsoft Canada team, thank you for your continued relationship – and if we can help you, and your teams better prepare for the Cloud opportunity, don’t hesitate in connecting with us – Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook.
