I've just updated CEFileWiz to support .NET CF 2.0 applications - CEFileWiz now checks the required image runtime version (I'm using Assembly.ImageRuntimeVersion).
If the managed assembly is v2.0.50727 then this is a CF 2.0 app/dll, if v1.1.4322 then this is a v1.0 app/dll.
oh, I've built the latest version using VS 2005, so you're probably going to need .NET Framework 2.0

I haven't tried cefilewiz so I could way off base here... However, those are the full framework versions, not the netcf ones so I am bit confused... - Anonymous

Hey Daniel, if you generate a .NET Compact Framework 2.0 application and look at its assembly dependency using Assembly.ImageRuntimeVersion you will see that the assembly is marked as v2.0.50727

You are right of course.
The CF version, while different to the full fx, is not what appears in the metadata but rather the full fx one. I didn't know that!
The ImageRuntimeVersion can then be used (from a desktop app only of course) to query this. Cool!
Thanks for pointing it out to me :-)
