Update Rollup 1 for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 has been released!

Hi everyone, Livi here again with exciting news! The Update Rollup 1 for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 has officially been released and is available for free download on the Download Center. A couple months back, James Duffus, the Group Program Manager for MultiPoint, announced the public beta and we’re excited to bring you the finished result.

One of the biggest updates that UR 1 is bringing is fully localized support for Arabic and Hebrew, bringing our support for a fully immersive desktop and management experience up to 18 different languages. By adding these two languages, we have made it possible for MultiPoint Server 2011 to reach over 350 million more native speakers.

UR1 provides a fully immersive language experience for Arabic and Hebrew users

Update Rollup 1 also includes several updates based on customer and partner feedback, including better support for new devices, improved drive letter management, mouse performance profiles, detection of remote devices, and detection of audio in PS/2 stations. There were also updates that ensured settings within the MultiPoint Manager, such as Web Limiting or Block All, persist even when the dashboard is not open.

A big thank you goes out to all of those who provided feedback by downloading the UR1 beta. Thanks to your help with testing the new updates, we feel confident that we are continuing to address customer needs and working to improve the overall experience with Windows MultiPoint Server. Moving forward, please continue to provide feedback on Update Rollup 1 and the product in general.
