The Find An MVP Power BI Report: A Dynamic Way To Promote Your Work

Being presented with the MVP Award is a great achievement. It helps you to build your personal brand, make new connections, and bolster your reputation as an accessible community leader.

Now, Data Platform MVP Gil Raviv has created a new, dynamic way to promote your strengths. It’s what he calls the Find an MVP Power BI report.

“Instead of having their potential clients searching for their name in the official MVP page, [MVPs] can have a version with their name on right at the top. They can also use their company logo, with a link to their website, and embed their self-promoted version on their company’s website or personal blogs,” said Gil.

The report also navigates directly to the official MVP page, so anyone who visits can check out other MVPs, too.

When Gil was presented with the MVP Award this year, he wanted to share it with his readers in a cool way. His idea was to create the Find an MVP report - however after publishing the full report on his blog, other MVPs wanted in. That’s when he realized that the report can help all MVPs to promote their award and increase their online presence.

“The Find an MVP Power BI report is an awesome way for MVPs to share their ‘MVPness’ with their audience,” said Gil. “I hope that MVPs will embed this report in their blogs and public websites to promote their award, and engage their audience in a creative way.”

To check out the report, head to Gil’s blog here. MVPs can purchase an online customized report for $200 USD - however there’s also a free version for those MVPs with a professional website who promote the Power BI report on their blogs.
