Who's that girl? It's Nathalie!

Howdy! Greetings from Dallas, Texas!

Just a couple of weeks ago, I said goodbye to my Alpha Chi Omega sisters, had my last order of green tea boba at Downtown LA’s Urth Café, and watched World of Color at Disneyland for the last time. Los Angeles, California has been my home for the last four years, while I attended the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering. In May, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a major that incorporated the foundations of engineering and statistics, and also provided me the latitude to branch out and pursue courses in programming and database systems.

People ask me why I would move from the “best-coast” to Texas, a place where I had never been before, but I am well accustomed to adventuring off to new cities. Before going to USC in LA, I grew up in Hong Kong for 10 years, and prior to that lived in Melbourne, Australia, and before that Tokyo, Japan where I was born. Traveling isn’t just a hobby of mine; it’s my way of life! But mostly, it comes down to the fact that I am absolutely ecstatic to be working here at Microsoft as a Tech Evangelist. I have been using Microsoft products for most of my life – from MSN Instant Messenger to MS Access in my college classes – and I am so excited to be working at this company, a place that truly makes people’s everyday lives easier, and better. To be able to share my passion for this company with all of you, will truly be a privilege.

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned to hear about my ventures on building a Windows app from scratch!
