Sharepoint Designer becomes Free

Yesterday, Microsoft is announcing that Sharepoint Designer becomes a free product. I think that this is great news and extends the designers ability to build truly customized solutions on this platform.

Most customers want to create custom/personalized solutions which are tied to their activity or brand, whether these are internal or external portal solutions, internet-facing commerce sites, social networking sites or media solutions.

Future versions of SharePoint Designer will also be available as a free download. The next version of SharePoint Designer will ship simultaneously with the next version of SharePoint.
