Visual Web Developer - You Know You Want It!
I was just catching up on the news after a great launch yesterday in Wellington and I saw this article in UK Guardian newspaper!
I downloaded my copy of Visual Web Developer... then I went to see what the registration benefits where... there is thousands of dollars worth of very cool stuff here for free... after registering not only did I get the "collection of over 100 professional, royalty-free stock icons from IconBuffet.com" and the "assortment of 250 royalty-free images from Corbis"... I also got the 30-day's Free ASP.NET 2.0 Web Hosting at https://www.vwdhosting.net.
Behind the scenes I have been working with NZ hosting companies to offer you great choice for ASP .NET 2.0 web hosting after your 30 day's free hosting expires. I went here to see who had already released their ASP.NET 2.0 hosting packages and found these four companies offering this service!

Hey Nigel,
With the imminent end of free ASP.NET hosting for MSDN Connection foundation members (and also since I'm looking for ASP.NET 2 hosting), this is naturally a matter of great interest to me.
In terms of database options, for many developers and even small businesses SQL Server Express would be all we'd need - it would be really, really great if you could let us know about any hosters who'll be offering that option (and even better if you could encourage them to regard that as a good idea :-)) - Anonymous

Hi Kevin,
A while ago I made a blog post about this http://blogs.msdn.com/nigel/archive/2005/10/18/482067.aspx. I have been talking with NZ hosting companies about offering support for the Web Hosting Upsize Tool for SQL Express http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2005/10/15/427581.aspx once it reaches it's final release... Through the ASP.NET Hosting Advantage Programme NZ hosters get access to "best-practice" advise for offering these sorts of services and yes I am "encouraging" them to regard this as a good idea!
