My Wife, Dawn

My wife, Dawn Melody Coad, and I have been married for just over a year now!  Wow, what a year!  We’ve been through a lot, and come through everything closer together than ever.  Being married is just amazing…  always someone there to support you, love you, be your motivation, and share life together.  We have both learned much and grown together.  I can really see that a person can get spoiled being married.  We just complement each other so very well.  She’s kind and loving and flexible, and I’m somewhat obsessive compulsive, but we’re both fun loving people who enjoy our quiet moments too.  She’s currently training for the Danskin Triathlon, I’m captain of a local adult ice hockey team (Gang Green), and we enjoy mountain biking, backpacking, watching lots of movies, and oh so much more.

Some fun facts…

Try this.  Say my first name’s initial and last name together…. N-Coad, N-Code, Encode…  Now do Dawn’s… D-Coad, D-Code, Decode.  So the joke is that when I mix things up and make them too confusing, Dawn sorts it all out and makes sense of it all.    Our first names are only one letter different.  Our middle initials are both M (Michael & Melody).  We’re both musicians, Dawn’s a trained professional teacher and violinist, and I’m an amateur guitarist, pianist, and fiddler.

Being my name is Noah, and it is a fairly unusual name, I’ve held a certain facination with the story of Noah’s Ark.  The Hebrew Old Testiment does not record Noah’s wife’s name, so a funny joke we play is saying “Bible quiz!  What was the name of Noah’s wife? ….  don’t know?  Dawn of course!”  Cheezy, but effective.
