Hi for those who are using very recent products such as Symantec Endpoint 11, I would strongly recommend you to download this update from your appliance vendor.

This update includes several additions regarding the applications settings and therefore should be installed in order to update your endpoint checking policies.

It is pretty easy to install it.

Browse your E-Gap folder and replace all the existing files by the ZIP package files. Do not forget to rename the *.VBS.TXT files by *.VBS :-)

I would also strongly recommend to rename the existing files like this for example: *.BAK - Then copy the new ones over.

Once you have copied all those files, open the management console and click the "Apply Settings" icon. then simply select the second option on the bottom to apply the new settings applied to external files.
