Raising the technical bar at home

I'm at an internal MS training conference with an international attendance base. The conference is great, but one thing I've noticed is the large number of international attendees sitting around the conference center with headphones and Webcams talking and interacting with their families back at home. Right now, there is a guy next to me having a rather animated discussion with his young son;) I'm at these types of events pretty regularly, but this is the first time I saw really wide spread use of Webcams rather than the good olde fashioned cell phone. I think this is great!

Although, I think of my own family and as my wife would freely admit the longer we are married (11 years and counting, thank you) the less technical she chooses to be. So I'm not sure how well this would go over at my house, but I will certainly give it a shot. Guess I'll have to rely on my 9-year old to figure out the technical details...don't tell my wife I said that ;)
