Finally got our RC TFS installation upgraded to RTM

Had to go through the upgrade from RC to RTM for Team Foundation Server and I must say it is pretty painless. I followed the step by step included in the TFSUpgradeRTM (link and other information located on Eric Charran's Blog) and that was pretty much it.

I even got to use the permission power toy to straighten some permissions up.

If you're installing TFS for the first time, then check out the Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Installation Guide in the Microsoft Download Center.

Nice!

Are there any differences between TFS RTM and TFS Trial version?
Do MSDN subscribers get the TFS final version?
Thanks for your clarification in advance.

I created a new entry for the differences between Trial and RTM (http://blogs.msdn.com/rimuri/archive/2006/04/05/569384.aspx)

As for the licensing it essentially breaks down like this: licenses for workgroup and trial will be made available through your MSDN subscription, however, software through that subscription is made available to you for demonstration and evaluation only, though some restrictions apply. See the MSDN Subscriptions site for additional information.
