Before we joined Microsoft, Richard Bailey and I used to compete for computer time on our high school’s Apple II. That was over two decades ago. In the intervening years, I followed his lead into the world of software consulting and we even had the opportunity to work together at a failed Internet startup. In 1998, I followed his lead to Microsoft. Finally, he’s following mine. Recently he joined the Visual Studio team as a senior developer working on Cider, which is the codename for the Windows Presentation Foundation designer for Visual Studio Orcas. And now he has taken up blogging, too. If you want some insight into Cider, head over to Richard Bailey’s Blog.
