Two years ago, I started this blog with the intent that I would blog like nobody's reading. At that time, Team System was still largely unknown outside of Redmond and I was preparing for Tech·Ed 2004 in San Diego.
On the first anniversary of this blog (Today in History), I surpassed 365 posts and a million total views. We shipped our first beta release of Team System the month before, and preparations were underway for Tech·Ed 2005 in Orlando.
In the year since, Team System shipped, the number of total posts has doubled (this post is #889), and a million total views has become more of a monthly occurrence. All of this makes the notion of “blogging like nobody’s reading” harder to accept. Lately, I’ve been finding citations from this blog in the news, KB articles, and press releases.
To those who read this blog regularly, thanks! Writing this blog continues to be one of my favorite activities at Microsoft.
What does the year ahead look like? The only thing I can say for now is that I’m getting ready for Tech·Ed 2006 in Boston. Per usual, there are some really cool things on the horizon, so stay tuned.
