Transitioning Your MSDN Subscription

Some people are having difficulty finding the magic page for transitioning their MSDN Subscription. If you haven’t transitioned your MSDN Subscription, you can do so at the following link:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/subscriptions/maketransition/

MSDN Universal subscribers[1] may choose to upgrade to any one of the MSDN Premium subscriptions for the Visual Studio Team System role-based products, i.e. Team Edition for Software Developers OR Architects OR Testers. If you have a valid MSDN Universal subscription, please submit your transition choice at any time prior to the expiration of your retail subscription or Microsoft Volume Licensing agreement to receive one of the new role-based Team System products at no extra cost.[2]

MSDN Enterprise and MSDN Professional subscribers will be automatically transitioned and do not need to take any action.

[1] Transition options for MSDN Universal and MSDN Enterprise subscriptions acquired through special programs (e.g. Partner Programs, Academic Programs, etc.) will be communicated through respective program communications.

[2] A 180-day trial version of the Visual Studio Team Suite and Visual Studio Team Foundation will be sent to MSDN subscribers. Pre-release software for Visual Studio 2005 (beta versions or Community Technical Preview releases) is also available for download .

If you received your MSDN Subscription through a special program, please see [1] above.
